A distanceThe Luxembourg International Bazaar is one of the most eagerly awaited events of the year. This multicultural event attracts thousands of visitors every year.
The International Bazaar is much more than just a market. Organized under the High Patronage of HRH the Grand Duchess of Luxembourg, the International Bazaar is above all an opportunity to support humanitarian causes through the financing of social projects. Regardless of ethnicity, religion, or age, the International Bazaar fights poverty and violence in particular, but also supports the empowerment of women around the world.
According to its organizers, the Bazaar offers "the opportunityto explore new cultures without leaving Luxembourg." During your visit to the International Bazaar, you can travel around the world, taste foreign flavors, enjoy multicultural music and dance performances, and buy local handicrafts. Indeed, many stands representing different nationalities showcase their culture of origin. The International Bazaar also provides the perfect opportunity for all residents to experience Luxembourg's multicultural richness firsthand. Here, everyone can feel the blend of Luxembourgish culture and the cultures of foreigners living in the country.
The date for the next edition of the Luxembourg International Bazaar has not yet been set. The exact dates will be announced in the coming months. With its strong cultural and humanitarian impact, the Luxembourg International Bazaar remains an experience not to be missed. It is also one of the favorite events for expatriates in Luxembourg. Each edition brings even more surprises, discoveries, and emotions in the name of international solidarity. Be there!
The 2025 edition of the International Bazaar was held in mid-November at the LuxExpo The Box exhibition center in Kirchberg. Over the course of three days, more than 45,000 visitors strolled among the 60 international stands, each representing a country or region of the world. Gastronomy, crafts, jewelry, accessories, and decorative objects delighted the eyes and taste buds of those curious and passionate about cultural discoveries. Beyond cultural discovery, the International Bazaar is above all a charity event. All proceeds are donated to humanitarian and social projects around the world. Every purchase of a product or specialty contributes to local and international initiatives, making it a truly "solidarity-based shopping" experience. More than €650,000 was raised for 45 charities.
At the heart of the International Bazaar are its traditional stands. Each one is run by volunteers representing a specific nation or region. Among the must-see stands are:
These stands are an opportunity to meet enthusiastic volunteers and experience Luxembourg's cultural diversity. Run by more than 1,500 volunteers, the International Bazaar stands invite visitors to enjoy themselves and meet new people. Each of the foreign communities presents its country and culture through folk dances, culinary specialties, andvarious activities.
The history of the International Bazaar is not a recent one. For a long time, the Luxembourg Church organized small local fairs to raise funds to help the most disadvantaged. However , following changes in Luxembourg's policy on welcoming foreigners, these small local fairs evolved in the 1960s. A larger organization was set up at the national level . Over time, it became the International Bazaar in Luxembourg. After starting with eight stands representing different nationalities in 1963, the International Bazaar now brings together more than 60 nationalities. They share a common goal: to share their culture, specialties, and crafts and to offer their help for community projects. Today, more than 1,500 volunteers of all nationalities join the event each year. They help to make the International Bazaar a place where cultural diversity has only grown over the years. Thanks to this creative energy, the event now offers an atmosphere conducive to encounters and multiculturalism. The spirit is one of celebration and mutual aid.
For several years now, a Mini Bazaar has been held at the City Concorde shopping center in Bertrange. With around fifteen stands , visitors can sample the flavors and crafts of different continents. A little escape before the arrival of summer. Don't miss this preview of the International Bazaar. Want to know which stalls are participating in the International Bazaar?
