Continuing professional development organizations
Luxembourg offers a wide range of high-quality training courses. There are numerous opportunities to improve your knowledge and skills in a variety of fields.
Continuing education courses for adults take the form of seminars, evening classes, university courses, or professional certifications. Various organizations offer these courses, as well as master's degrees that complement professional experience.

Training in crafts by the Chamber of Trades
The Luxembourg Chamber of Trades and Crafts organizes vocational training in the field of crafts: food, fashion, construction, mechanics, management, organization, etc.
Entrepreneurs can also find training and assistance there.
House of Training of the Chamber of Commerce
The House of Training of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce offers continuing professional training in 19 fields, including HR, real estate, business management, accounting, law, insurance, banking, commerce, etc.
The House of Training is aimed at both employees and employers and adapts to changes in legislation and current events. It therefore responds closely to the needs of the Luxembourg market.
Its 700 or so training courses are available in various formats: seminars, day courses, evening courses, and conferences. The main language used is French, but some conferences and training courses are in German or English.
The House of Training is a training organization that was created through the merger of the Luxembourg School for Commerce (LSC), the training organization of the Chamber of Commerce, and the IFBL, the training organization of the Association of Banks and Bankers in Luxembourg.
Lifelong-learning.lu, professional training portal
lifelong-learning.lu is the national portal for lifelong learning. This website centralizes the continuing education offerings in Luxembourg. More than 10,000 training courses are offered by 300 public, private, and non-profit training organizations.
The site also lists all training assistance schemes for individuals and companies. It is managed by the INFPC, the National Institute for the Development of Continuing Professional Training, under the supervision of the Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth.
ADEM Agency for the Development of Employment in Luxembourg
In certain cases, the ADEM (Agency for the Development of Employment) may also cover part of the training costs for a professional project through its "Vocational Training Assistance" program. Ask your advisor for more information if you are registered withthe ADEM as a job seeker.

SNJ National Youth Service
Created in 1964, the National Youth Service is a public service that responds to the needs of young people and associations. It implements youth policy and organizes educational programs for young people.
The SNJ has four main missions:
- training and support for educational projects and activities with young people
- hosting educational centers focused on media, sports, or sustainable development
- supporting young people's transition to working life, particularly through local branches. Alternative solutions help to prevent inactivity. Financial assistance for vocational training
Individuals and companies can receive financial assistance for vocational training.
Co-financing for continuing education for companies
Companies can apply for co-financing assistance from the government through the INFPC.
This co-financing assistance can cover up to 15% of the cost of training investments made during the fiscal year. It may be increased in certain specific cases. More information on co-financing continuing education can be found here.
Vocational training assistance for individuals
Individuals wishing to undertake training can also benefit from several types of assistance.
Financial assistance for training individuals
- Professional training costs for further training can be deducted from taxable income by employees.
- Individuals enrolled in higher education programs may be eligible for a loan or scholarship under certain conditions.
- Vocational training assistance may be granted to job seekers. Under certain conditions, unemployed persons may benefit from coverage of training costs, which will be advanced by the job seeker. Please note that the application must be submitted to the ADEM before the start of the training.
Special leave for vocational training
Employees, self-employed persons, or professionals who wish to undertake vocational training as part of their work may apply for individual training leave. This leave may be up to 80 days over the course of their working life.
Learning Luxembourgish can give rise to up to 200 hours of leave.

Working time arrangements
Employees working in a company with flexible working hours may request to benefit from this flexibility for training purposes.
