Lëtz Go Gold against childhood cancer
The Lëtz Go Gold charity run is an unmissable annual event in Luxembourg, dedicated to the fight against pediatric cancer. Organized by the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, the next edition will take place in September 2026. This event brings together participants from all walks of life to raise essential funds for research and support for children with cancer.

Would you like to help fight cancer, particularly in children? Lëtz Go Gold offers everyone the opportunity to get involved in the fight against pediatric cancer.
Participants in this race commit to raising funds, with a minimum of €100 for students and minors, and €200 for adults. These contributions are donated in full to research projects aimed at discovering new treatments and improving existing ones. By participating, you become a key player in advancing research and supporting families affected by this disease.
Research is essential to improving survival rates and developing less invasive and more effective treatments.

The latest edition of Lëtz Go Gold, on September 27, 2025 , brought together more than 1,300 participants in 109 teams. Together, they raised more than €726,000, a record amount for the event.
This exceptional mobilization demonstrates the solidarity and commitment of the Luxembourg community to this noble cause.
Every year, the number of participants increases, and with them the amounts raised:
In 2021, more than 900 runners raised just over €420,000. In 2022, 1,100 runners raised €560,000. In 2023, 1,392 participants raised nearly €618,000.

Lëtz Go Gold, courses suitable for all levels
Whether you are an experienced runner or an amateur, Lëtz Go Gold offers courses suitable for all levels: 1.5 km, 5 km, and 10 km.
The courses pass through the beautiful landscapes of Kockelscheuer, offering a sporting experience in a natural setting. The event is not timed. The emphasis is on participation and solidarity rather than performance.

Then invite your friends, family, and colleagues to support your participation by making donations. On race day, join us in Kockelscheuer for a morning of solidarity, sport, and hope. If you are unable to participate as a runner, you can also support the event by making a donation or becoming a volunteer.

The importance of research in defeating childhood cancer
In Luxembourg, between 30 and 40 children are diagnosed with cancer each year. The most common types of cancer in children are leukemia and tumors of the central nervous system.
Although they receive excellent care, particularly at the CHL's National Pediatric Oncology and Hematology Service at the Kannerklinik, children need their parents by their side. This is especially true when they have to undergo treatment abroad.
Thanks to "leave for serious family reasons," parents are entitled to 52 weeks of special leave to be taken over a two-year period. However, this leave cannot be taken by both parents at the same time. Furthermore, this leave is not renewed if it is used up during the period in the event of a relapse of the child's illness.
The Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation is fighting to develop this leave and even extend it to grandparents.
The Kriibskrank Kanner Foundation: essential support
For more than 30 years, the Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner has been supporting families of children with cancer in Luxembourg. It offers psychosocial, administrative, logistical, and financial support, as well as services such as home help, educational support, and educational activities.
The Foundation is also involved in awareness campaigns and actively funds research to improve treatments and cure rates. Your participation in events such as Lëtz Go Gold contributes directly to these essential missions.
